PollTap, Inc. ("PollTap," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our survey rewards platform, website, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely stored password hash. Email verification is required to activate your account and access platform features.

Profile and Demographic Information

During onboarding, we collect demographic information including age range, gender, country, education level, and employment status. This information is used exclusively to match you with surveys you are more likely to qualify for, reducing unnecessary disqualifications.

Survey Activity Data

We collect information about surveys you are matched with, start, complete, or are disqualified from. This includes survey response data transmitted by our provider partners to verify completions and calculate rewards.

Device and Network Information

For fraud prevention and payout security purposes, we may collect IP address, browser fingerprint signals, and device characteristics. This data is processed by our fraud detection systems and is never used for advertising or profiling.

Transaction Records

We maintain records of reward accruals, withdrawals, and payout transactions processed through our payout partner, Tremendous. These records are necessary for financial reconciliation and platform integrity.

We use your information for the following purposes:

• Creating and maintaining your account
• Matching your profile with relevant surveys from our provider partners
• Processing reward completions and calculating payouts
• Operating fraud prevention and security checks to protect payout reserves
• Verifying survey completions with provider partners
• Processing withdrawals through Tremendous payout infrastructure

3. How Survey Matching Works

PollTap uses your demographic profile to match you with surveys from our provider network. Rather than displaying a generic survey wall, our system evaluates which surveys are most likely to accept your profile before presenting them. This approach reduces disqualification rates and creates a better experience. Your profile data is shared with provider partners only to the extent necessary for survey qualification checks.

4. Reward Processing and Payouts

When you complete a survey, our provider partners send completion data to PollTap. Our reward system verifies the completion, applies fraud detection checks, and creates a pending reward. After a release window of 3–7 days, approved rewards become available for withdrawal. Withdrawals are processed through Tremendous, our payout infrastructure partner. Tremendous receives your payout selection and delivery information solely to fulfill withdrawal requests.

5. Fraud Prevention and Security

PollTap operates internal fraud detection systems to protect platform integrity and payout reserves. These systems may analyze device signals, IP addresses, completion patterns, and behavioral data. Flagged completions may be placed under review or reversed if fraudulent activity is confirmed. Fraud scores and signals are never shared publicly or with third parties outside of provider verification needs.

6. Third-Party Integrations

PollTap works with the following categories of third-party partners:

• Survey Providers — Supply survey inventory and send completion confirmations. Limited demographic data is shared for qualification purposes.
• Payout Partners — Tremendous processes reward withdrawals. Payout delivery information is shared only when you initiate a withdrawal.
• Email Services — Resend handles verification and account-related emails. Your email address is shared solely for transactional message delivery.
• Infrastructure Providers — Vercel hosts our platform. Standard server logs are handled in accordance with their privacy practices.

7. Data Protection and Retention

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure password hashing (bcrypt), and access controls. Your personal data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting our support team.

8. Your Rights and Choices

• You can access and update your profile information from your account settings.
• You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• You can request account deletion, which will remove your personal data subject to legal retention requirements.
• You can opt out of non-essential communications from your account settings.
• You can withdraw consent for demographic data processing, though this may affect survey matching accuracy.

9. Important: We Do Not Sell Your Data

PollTap does not sell personal data to third-party brokers or data aggregators. Demographic and profile information is used exclusively for survey qualification matching and platform operations. Device and network data is collected solely for fraud prevention and payout security purposes, not for advertising, profiling, or commercial data sharing.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via email or platform notification. Continued use of PollTap after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
